My Approach

Taking that first step toward therapy can feel a bit overwhelming, but it is often where meaningful relief and self-discovery begin. As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) completing my Master’s in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University, I view therapy as a true partnership. You don’t need to have everything figured out before we begin, we will work together at a pace that feels grounded and manageable.

My practice centers on supporting adult individuals and couples navigating anxiety, depression, stress, relationship patterns, and major life shifts. My personal journey, moving to Canada years ago as an international from South Asia, deeply shapes how I work. Experiencing significant cultural and life transitions firsthand taught me resilience, but more importantly, it reinforced that who we are is deeply influenced by our culture, values, family systems, and lived history.
I believe we all hold the capacity to build new strengths and relate differently to ourselves and others, no matter where we start. Growth is possible at any stage of life, and because your story is entirely your own, our work will never follow a one-size-fits-all formula; we will collaborate to blend practical support for daily challenges with deeper reflection on the experiences that shaped you.

My Focus Areas

  • Anxiety, stress, and chronic overwhelm
  • Low mood, depression, and emotional burnout
  • Relationship dynamics and couples’ communication
  • Cultural identity, belonging, and major life transitions
  • Self-worth, inner critic work, and personal growth

Therapeutic Approaches

  • Person-Centered Therapy: Grounding our work in genuine warmth, non-judgment, and deep listening.
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): Practical strategies to gently challenge unhelpful thoughts and build everyday coping skills.
  • Psychodynamic & Relational Approaches: Exploring how past patterns and formative relationships influence how you feel today.

What It Is Like to Work With Me

In our work together, you will have a grounded, welcoming space to speak honestly without fear of judgment. I show up with genuine presence and steady listening, meeting your lived experiences with care, curiosity, and respect. Therapy is both a supportive haven and a purposeful process. While feeling heard is foundational, our sessions are also about creating meaningful shifts in your day-to-day life. Together, we can explore recurring patterns from your past, understand how they affect your present, or build practical strategies to navigate stress and relationships with confidence.

Outside of Work

Outside of the therapy room, I love making the most of the warmer months by being outdoors. You’ll usually find me going for long walks, exploring local shops, or setting off on little weekend adventures. I’m also an enthusiastic foodie who loves discovering new cuisines and hidden-gem restaurants. When it comes to dessert, chocolate is always the answer, the richer, the better! To unwind, I love going for long drives with good music or simply turning up a great playlist at home and dancing it out.Once winter rolls around, my inner homebody takes over. I love slowing down, catching up on movies, having cozy pizza nights, and spending quality time with the people I care about. For me, it’s all about finding that sweet balance between adventure and comfort, staying curious about the world while savoring the simple moments that make life feel grounded and warm.
