About

I know the idea of trusting someone with your innermost thoughts, feelings, and impulses can be scary, awkward, and intimidating. Maybe you’re feeling stuck in your life and it’s left you feeling depressed and hopeless. Maybe you’re looking for new ways to relate to your emotions, improve your relationships, and find greater joy and fulfillment in your life. I’ve been there - I have sat in the client’s seat.
My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and collaborative. The strength of the working relationship we build is essential to growth and healing, and I strive to create a safe, culturally sensitive, and compassionate space. How we relate to one another can teach me about how you relate to others in your life, and may help us identify blind spots and patterns that no longer serve you.
I don’t see myself as the expert in the room. Rather, I cater my approach to your unique circumstances, actively seeking your collaboration. We each bring unique lived experiences, identities, and acquired knowledge to the process.
I draw from Narrative Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Polyvagal Theory. Through these modalities we can explore how the dominant stories in your life contribute to you feeling stuck, draw insights from your emotions, improve your relationship to yourself, and learn the language of your nervous system and how it impacts the way you relate to others.
I have primarily worked with university students and young adults with concerns around anxiety, depression, self-esteem/self-worth, emotion regulation, interpersonal difficulties, developmental trauma, and LGBTQIA2S+ related challenges. I draw from my lived experiences, personal journey in therapy, and ongoing professional development to best serve you through this process.
