“To care of another individual means to know and to experience the other as fully as possible.” ― Irvin D. Yalom, Existential Psychotherapy
As a therapist in training, my goal is to create a safe and welcoming space for you, to listen fully with respect and care, and to work together to discover how you can move through the problems that brought you here to find paths toward your best life possible.
As an older person I draw on lived experience. I care that we find ways beyond limiting beliefs, that LGBTQIA2S+ issues shape a positive definition of self, that women find ways to move more freely in the world, and that those who are growing older continue with self-growth and finding meaning.
I draw from psychodynamic, humanistic, and cognitive-behavioural therapies and take an integrative approach to align how we work with your present circumstances and needs. I have experience working with those who have issues with anxiety, negative self-talk, boundary-setting, life transitions, aging, and loss. I provide psychotherapy services to individual adults through phone, video, and in-person sessions.
