If there is a danger of the client injuring him/herself, someone or some organization (e.g. police, ambulance service) will be alerted.
-
If there is a danger of the client injuring someone else, the individual at risk will be alerted and authorities informed (e.g. police).
-
If there is indication that a child, under 16 years of age, is at risk from sexual, physical, emotional abuse and/or neglect, the Children’s Aid Society will be notified.
-
In some cases (e.g. child custody, criminal cases), a file could be subpoenaed by the courts.
Please feel free to ask any question that you may have about the treatment, or treatment policies, at any time during this process.
